Friday
Direct flight from Manchester, (3 ½ hour flight) to be confirmed –
anticipate flight leaving 2:00 pm ish (BT) and arriving Skiathos 8:30pm ish local time
Picked up by our hosts Georgina and Demetrius and taken to Pandora Studios
- Settle into Pandora Studios
- Short group meeting (information about the area)
9pm - Off to Skiathos Old Town for an evening meal, Asprolithos Taverna
Saturday (Pandora Studio area)
9am to 10am - Breakfast
10am to 12:30pm – Familiarisation session
“Getting started” painting “en plein air” and photography in the area around the Pandora Studios – individual tuition
12:30pm – Lunch / Free time, visit supermarket, siesta perhaps?
4pm to 6pm - Individual painting with tuition
7:00pm – Drinks, courtyard – Pandora Studios
7:30pm – Evening meal in Taverna Skiathos Old Town overlooking the harbour sunset
Sunday (Skiathos Old Town. Church Square)
9am to 10am – Breakfast
10am to 3pm – Colour session!
Demonstrations: colour theory – demonstration of wet in wet masking salt granulation and splattering techniques
(Visit Skiathos Old Town and Church Square)
Individual tuition - Skiathos Old Town and Church Square
3pm to 6pm – Free time – (Continue painting, Old Town)
7:30pm to 8pm - Evening meal in Skiathos Old Town, Ellados Geuseis Taverna
Drinks Admiral Benbows Bar – plays 50’s, 60’s and 70’s music and is run by a couple from Barnsley
Monday (Holiday – Kanapitsa Beach)
9am to 10am – Breakfast
10:30am – Optional short beat trip to Kanapitsa Beach (boats leaves from Skiathos Old Town harbour) – (6 Euros return)
Holiday Day – Swimming, sunbathing and probably the best Greek salad on the island at the Taverna on the beach!!
Sketch books etc.. optional – relax and enjoy
4:30pm to 5pm – Returning by boat
6pm to 8pm – free time
8pm – Evening meal, local fish B/BQ – Pandora Studios
Tuesday (Troulos Beach, Local Bus Trip)
9am to 10am – Breakfast
10:30 am – Optional excursion using local bus at bus stop No3, (10 minutes away) to Troulos beach area. (Be prepared for the crush! chickens and market folks)
Returning aprox 4 to 5pm Greek time!!
Painting En Plein air; individual tution
Lunch at beach taverna
7:30pm to 8pm – Drinks – Courtyard and evening meal, local taverna
9:30pm ish – Evening visit to Mesostratoe Taverna optional visits Dim Lourgies Gallery – local artists and Ellinon Archipelagos Gallery with Tassos Biskinis
Wednesday (Hill Top Monastery, Mini bus provided)
9am to 10am – Breakfast
10am to 11am – Demonstration – composition, colour techniques pen wash
11am – Optional visit to Hill Top Monastery – (mini bus) from Pandora Studie (anticipated cost 10 Euro – 15 Euros)
1pm to 2:30pm – Break for lunch, Panarama Taverna High Mountain Views
2:30pm – Continue painting En Plein air tution
3:30pm to 4:30pm – Return to Pandora Studies
7:30pm to 8pm – (Greek time, you will be used to it by now) Evening meal in Taverna - Skiathos
Thursday (Painting En Plein air – Pandora Studies) Exhibition
9am to 10am – Breakfast
10am to 1pm – Group session – collating and finishing work – final session in Skiathos Old Town or in the area around the Pandora Studios
1pm to 4pm – Free time
4pm to 6pm – Individual tuition – demonstrations as requested – preparing for and putting up exhibition
7:00pm to 8:30pm – Critique exhibition session – Pandora Studios
8:30pm – Final Celebratory evening meal, perhaps a drink or two??
Friday
9am to 10am – Breakfast
During this morning there will be a chance for those who wish, to exhibit their work at the “Bartzi” art and community centre – (small inset attached to old port)
10am – Individual painting around studio with tuition
12pm – lunch / free time
12pm to 5pm – Free time, last bit of shopping etc. Collect work from Bartzi if necessary
5pm – Transfer to the airport
6:30pm (aprox.) – Flight home

Art courses in the Alps
Diane will be running a painting holiday in the traditional Savoyard town of La Clusaz on the 2-7th July 2012.
La Clusaz nestles in the stunning Aravis Mountains - part of the northern French Alps, just an hour from Geneva.
Famous for incredible scenery and mountain lakes this picturesque corner of France is straight out of the Sound of music. Colourful fragrant field of flowers dominate the landscape in spring and early summer, whilst the superb russets of the autumn colour the valleys in September and October.
Diane’s alpine holiday is based at the traditional wooden Chalet, Fan la Bise. The holiday includes accommodation, airport transfers to/from Geneva, all your transport to and from painting/sketching sites, breakfasts, packed lunches and delicious 2 course evening meals with a choice of wines. Draft Itinerary La Clusaz 2nd July - 7th July
Students will enjoy a creative and relaxing time, soaking up the atmosphere and unique landscape of this amazing corner of France. The following itinerary provides a rough idea of the holiday schedule, but students are free to dip in and out of the schedule to suit their mood. Throughout the week there will be tutorials involving watercolour techniques, colour theory and practice, tone and hue, composition and much more. We hope that you will return home with a sense of achievement, paintings to cherish, as well as wonderful memories of the landscape and people you may have met during your holiday away.
Our private minibus transfers you to the chalet from Geneva airport. Then after dinner we run through the holiday schedule with information on all the painting/sketching sites.
After breakfast, it's off to the painting site/s in the minibus, with a packed lunch to enjoy mid way through the day. In the afternoon it's back to the chalet for a cup of tea, and later a delicious home-cooked evening meal with wine
There is also a free day which can be enjoyed painting, walking in the hills and wandering through the local market, or a trip to the Old town in Geneva.

Coldwell Inn Artists in Residence
Recently Diane was appointed the artist in residence at Coldwell Inn. The centre is situated amongst beautiful scenery overlooking a reservoir in the hills of Lancashire.
At the moment she is offering day workshops which include a home cooked lunch ( cost approx £35). The residential course will include trips to local beauty areas, all meals and accommodation ( £340 approx cost).

Skiathos
Diane is running a painting holiday in the picturesque old town of Skiathos on the beautiful greek island. Famous for its relaxing beaches, crystal blue seas, quaint old fishing town, sunshine and friendly folk!
The holiday will be based at Pandora studios, and includes flights from Manchester, transfers. Accomodation with breakfast ,tution and a full programme of optional activities. Recently travelling to the idyllic Caribbean islands of St Lucia and Antigua. Producing watercolour paintings capturing the beauty of the islands.

Cunards Queen Mary Two Sailing to New York
Diane has recently been asked to teach and paint on Cunard's Queen Mary 2 sailing to New York just before Christmas.
A very exciting trip as the Queen Mary passed through very high seas and a hurricane!
